Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She is an Filipino American actor as well as a comedian, host of a television show and model. Her kidneys did not recover after she developed an infection that was septic and she had numerous organ failure. It was her new normal to have peritoneal and then the hemodialysis. After 80 straight days in the hospital from near-death to long road to recovery she finally returned home, but her life was forever changed. Angelica was on dialysis for over a decade half years before receiving her kidney transplant. It was her own mother who was the one to donate her kidney. Angelica together with her mom, underwent a successfully kidney transplantation on September 13th 2013 in two amazing hospitals that were close to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston.
